Battery disconnectors OB
|
Accumulator disconnector is designed to protect accumulators against deep discharge and consequent damage. This can happen in case of a long-lasting power outage, when the device is powered from a back-up accumulator. Accumulator's voltage value is sampled and compared to reference voltage U
, U . In case that the voltage of accumulator drops below value U (U = 10,5 V), the positive pole of accumulator is disconnected from the device.
The disconnector has a protection against reversing of poles and a protection against short-circuit by a 10 A current fuse which is accessible to customer. The disconnectors are designed to handle maximum current of 10 A. The value U
= 10,5 V is valid for accumulators with nominal voltage of 12 V. For other accumulator systems (24 V, 48 V) the value is U = 21,0 V, 42,0 V. The value U also changes accordingly.
Version OBS is used to control external contactor, which allows to produce disconnectors for higher currents.
